Yesterday afternoon, the silicon valley giant announced that Google Reader would be shut down for good on the first of July. Google Reader is (was) an RSS feed aggregator that took content from websites and feeds of your choosing and made them into a list of stories to read much like an email inbox. Google Reader is (was) very very popular among the tech community, especially those who liked to read daily tech news.
I’m very disappointed in Google’s decision to shut down the service. I used this service every day to read my favorite tech site (http://www.theverge.com) and immediately be able to share the article.
Taylor is sad.
